需要4W或低(di)于(yu)4W功率的(de)應用傳統上依賴(lai)于(yu)基于(yu)串聯旁路穩壓器電(dian)路的(de)小型電(dian)源(yuan),這種電(dian)源(yuan)如圖1所示。盡管這種電(dian)路簡易并且成本低(di),但(dan)由于(yu)出現(xian)了兩種新技術,它已經(jing)失去優勢。

首先(xian),外部(bu)電(dian)源(EPS)現在必須滿足(zu)嚴格的(de)(de)能效(xiao)標準(zhun),這幾(ji)乎排除了線性(xing)電(dian)源的(de)(de)使用(yong)。線性(xing)電(dian)源一般不(bu)能滿足(zu)工作效(xiao)率和(he)無負載功耗的(de)(de)標準(zhun)(見圖2)。2006年開始(shi),加利福尼(ni)亞州(zhou)和(he)澳大利亞將禁止(zhi)銷售不(bu)符合這類(lei)新(xin)能效(xiao)標準(zhun)的(de)(de)電(dian)源。

其次,現在的集成電路允許工程(cheng)師設計低(di)功(gong)率(lv)開關型電源(yuan)(SMPS),這種(zhong)電源(yuan)不(bu)僅元(yuan)件數量少而且成本和簡便性不(bu)遜于線性電源(yuan)。弄清低(di)功(gong)率(lv)SMPS的基本使用缺點將有(you)助(zhu)于工程(cheng)師基于符(fu)合(he)能效(xiao)標準(zhun)的新型電源(yuan)控制器件來設計電路。

低功率SMPS

直到最近,振(zhen)鈴扼流(liu)變換器(qi)(RCC)才出現極(ji)廉價的低功率(lv)SMPS設計,但是,RCC的一些缺點(dian)妨(fang)礙了它(ta)取(qu)代線性電路(lu):

?能效低,

?缺少熱保護,

?元件數量多。

此外,RCC的(de)性能還取決于寄(ji)生(sheng)效應和元件(jian)公差(cha)之間的(de)相(xiang)互作(zuo)用,因(yin)此制造(zao)商(shang)必須經常(chang)監視和調(diao)整元件(jian)(性能)數值以確保(bao)可接(jie)受的(de)成品率。電路的(de)缺點(dian)集中(zhong)在圖(tu)3中(zhong)突出的(de)五個區域。

低效的(de)啟(qi)動(dong)電路,一般(ban)的(de)啟(qi)動(dong)電路(圖3中I區域)具有一個初始工(gong)作電流來驅動(dong)MOSFET開關Q1。

但(dan)是即使正常工作(zuo)(zuo)開(kai)始之后,電(dian)(dian)流(liu)仍流(liu)經該(gai)(gai)電(dian)(dian)路。電(dian)(dian)阻則和(he)R2的功(gong)率損耗使得許(xu)多(duo)SMPS(不(bu)僅僅是RCC)未能(neng)滿足(zu)EPS能(neng)效標準中的無(wu)負載功(gong)耗范(fan)圍。附加的元件(jian)(jian)可(ke)(ke)以在(zai)電(dian)(dian)源正常工作(zuo)(zuo)后阻止(zhi)電(dian)(dian)流(liu)流(liu)動,但(dan)是可(ke)(ke)行的設計方案應該(gai)(gai)是在(zai)不(bu)增加元件(jian)(jian)數量(liang)或增添成本的條件(jian)(jian)下(xia)消除功(gong)率損耗。

開(kai)關(guan)頻(pin)率(lv)和(he)MOSFET柵驅動。由于RCC自身振蕩,因此它們的(de)開(kai)關(guan)頻(pin)率(lv)主(zhu)要取決于變壓器鐵心磁通量復(fu)位所花費的(de)時間。這(zhe)意味著(zhu)開(kai)關(guan)頻(pin)率(lv)在負載下最低,而在無(wu)負載時最高。(元件(性(xing)能)數值(zhi)和(he)公差也影響基(ji)本RCC的(de)開(kai)關(guan)頻(pin)率(lv))。但為了滿足EPS的(de)能效標準,開(kai)關(guan)的(de)頻(pin)率(lv)必(bi)須隨著(zhu)負載的(de)下降(jiang)而降(jiang)低。不增(zeng)加電路的(de)復(fu)雜性(xing)、元件數量和(he)成本,設計師是(shi)無(wu)法(fa)解決這(zhe)個問題的(de)。

控制(zhi)(zhi)MOSFET Q1的開關需要8個(ge)(ge)元(yuan)件(在圖3中Ⅲ區域(yu))外加一個(ge)(ge)變(bian)壓器T1的繞組。用PWM(脈寬調(diao)制(zhi)(zhi))控制(zhi)(zhi)IC替(ti)代這(zhe)些元(yuan)件將解決若干問題并減少(shao)元(yuan)件數量。但(dan)是,這(zhe)類IC在輸出功(gong)率(lv)低(di)于10W的電源中幾(ji)乎(hu)根本不能節省成本。而(er)且幾(ji)乎(hu)沒有控制(zhi)(zhi)IC可以隨(sui)著輸出負載的下降(jiang)而(er)自動降(jiang)低(di)開關頻率(lv)。

MOSFET的(de)(de)電(dian)(dian)(dian)流(liu)靈(ling)敏(min)(min)(min)度。電(dian)(dian)(dian)流(liu)靈(ling)敏(min)(min)(min)型電(dian)(dian)(dian)阻(zu)器(圖3中的(de)(de)Ⅱ區域)必須具有嚴(yan)格(ge)的(de)(de)公差和(he)良(liang)好的(de)(de)溫度穩定性,這使得(de)(de)它(ta)價格(ge)貴。此外(wai),這種電(dian)(dian)(dian)阻(zu)器增加了MOSFET的(de)(de)RDS(on),這可能降低1%―2%的(de)(de)效(xiao)率。去除(chu)電(dian)(dian)(dian)流(liu)靈(ling)敏(min)(min)(min)型電(dian)(dian)(dian)阻(zu)將會(hui)降低元件數量和(he)成本,同時增大(da)效(xiao)率,但是,已經證明(ming)4W功率范圍內的(de)(de)電(dian)(dian)(dian)流(liu)靈(ling)敏(min)(min)(min)型變壓(ya)器成本太高,因此感應MOSFET電(dian)(dian)(dian)流(liu)的(de)(de)其它(ta)唯一方法是需要采用已取得(de)(de)專(zhuan)利的(de)(de)技術。

電(dian)壓的(de)(de)(de)(de)感(gan)應和反饋。元(yuan)件(jian)R12、R13、VR3和U1―A(圖3中用Ⅳ區域)感(gan)應輸出電(dian)壓并將隔離(li)的(de)(de)(de)(de)信號反饋到電(dian)源(yuan)電(dian)路的(de)(de)(de)(de)一次側來(lai)控制MOSFET的(de)(de)(de)(de)負載循環。設(she)計師不犧牲調(diao)壓精(jing)度是無法減少該(gai)電(dian)路二次側的(de)(de)(de)(de)元(yuan)件(jian)數量。但去除該(gai)電(dian)路一次側上的(de)(de)(de)(de)D5、C6和R8就會簡化設(she)計。

漏極點箝位電路。這部(bu)分電路(見圖3中v區域)是可能去除(chu)元件(jian)的最后一個地(di)方。

盡管不是(shi)一個電(dian)路元件,但需要注(zhu)意熱保護,因為熱保護已經成(cheng)(cheng)為一個EPS業界(jie)廣泛(fan)應用(yong)的(de)標準。增加(jia)溫度傳感(gan)器和關閉電(dian)路加(jia)大了小型電(dian)源的(de)成(cheng)(cheng)本。

電源轉換匯可(ke)以(yi)克(ke)服大部(bu)分(fen)的這類設(she)計問題。一(yi)(yi)般,這些器件含(han)有一(yi)(yi)個控制(zhi)器,一(yi)(yi)個功率MOSFET和保護(hu)功能元(yuan)(yuan)件,集成化(hua)使得元(yuan)(yuan)件數量(liang)少(shao),并(bing)使設(she)計和原型(xing)制(zhi)造時間年降至(zhi)最低(di)程(cheng)度,同時降低(di)廠生產(chan)和測試(shi)成本。另外,與線性(xing)電源或RCC相比(bi),圍繞這類IC設(she)計的電源一(yi)(yi)般為最終用(yong)戶提供了(le)優異的安全(quan)性(xing)、現(xian)場(chang)可(ke)靠性(xing)和能效性(xing)能。

圍繞電(dian)源轉換(huan)IC設(she)計的(de)(de)(de)某(mou)種2W SMPS示意圖(圖4)展示了一種電(dian)路(lu),它的(de)(de)(de)元件的(de)(de)(de)含量僅為(wei)圖3中振鈴扼流變換(huan)器電(dian)路(lu)的(de)(de)(de)一半。將(jiang)材(cai)料(liao)、設(she)計時間,制造(zao)和其它成本(ben)(ben)進行(xing)比較(jiao)表明制造(zao)商是可以生產這種類型的(de)(de)(de)電(dian)源的(de)(de)(de),而成本(ben)(ben)等于或(huo)低于等效的(de)(de)(de)線性電(dian)源的(de)(de)(de)成本(ben)(ben)。

電(dian)源轉換IC,像這里(li)使用的這種(zhong),由于將高電(dian)壓(ya)MOSFET和低電(dian)壓(ya)控制(zhi)電(dian)路(lu)集(ji)成于一塊單芯片上,因而(er)(er)減(jian)少了元件數量。一種(zhong)通(tong)/斷控制(zhi)電(dian)路(lu)可以實現快速的啟動而(er)(er)無輸(shu)出(chu)過沖,并且(qie)不需要控制(zhi)回(hui)路(lu)的頻(pin)率補償元件。

非內在(zai)受限制(zhi)電源(有過流保(bao)護裝置)

如果一個(ge)受限(xian)制(zhi)電源使用過(guo)(guo)流保(bao)護裝(zhuang)置(應(ying)當是一個(ge)熔斷(duan)器(qi)或(huo)是一個(ge)不能調節的非自動復位(wei)的機電裝(zhuang)置)限(xian)制(zhi)輸(shu)出(chu)電流和功率并(bing)符合(he)表2的要求,那(nei)么可以判定(ding)為非內在(zai)(zai)受限(xian)制(zhi)電源。過(guo)(guo)流保(bao)護裝(zhuang)置的電流額(e)定(ding)值(zhi)是按(an)照其在(zai)(zai)120S內所切斷(duan)的2.1倍額(e)定(ding)值(zhi)電流來設(she)定(ding)的。在(zai)(zai)標(biao)準IEC60950-1(2001版(ban))中還(huan)有這么一個(ge)方案,受限(xian)制(zhi)電源可以使用一個(ge)調節網絡,在(zai)(zai)其正常工作條(tiao)件下(xia)限(xian)制(zhi)輸(shu)出(chu)符合(he)表1的要求,而(er)在(zai)(zai)單一故障條(tiao)件下(xia)(開(kai)路或(huo)短路),則(ze)由一個(ge)過(guo)(guo)流保(bao)護裝(zhuang)置限(xian)制(zhi)輸(shu)出(chu)并(bing)符合(he)表2的要求。這個(ge)方案在(zai)(zai)標(biao)準IEC60950-1(2005版(ban))中已取消了(le)。
