Czech Polar Reports is an internationally influential, multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed scientific journal published twice a year. The journal is dedicated to publishing cutting-edge scientific research related to polar regions and other planetary environments with polar analogies. Its research covers many areas of polar science, including polar paleontology, geology, geochemistry, geomorphology, glaciology, hydrology, soil science, biochemistry, ecology, environmental science, microbiology, and plant and animal biology.

The journal focuses not only on the natural sciences of the polar regions, but also on the application of these fields to global change and environmental management. The journal encourages submission of original research reports, short newsletters, technical notes, critical reviews, and book reviews. This diverse paper format helps to promote the wide dissemination of scientific research results and academic exchange, thus promoting the development of polar science.
