New Contree is an academic journal dedicated to the field of history, aiming to publish high-quality academic articles, particularly from a comparative perspective, studying the history of southern Africa and its regions, as well as the history of Africa and other parts of the world. Any aspect of activities, themes, and phenomena in urban, rural, social, cultural, health, environmental, economic, and political life, local, regional, or other global contexts, deserves attention. New contractors also welcome contributions to the region and locality, which contribute to and stem from updated methodologies, theories, and historical perspectives.
Encourage changes in research methods for local and regional history to promote a broader understanding of sustainable environments through community knowledge systems, and welcome academic presentations. Multidisciplinary research on local and regional history, aimed at providing a comprehensive understanding through methods from other disciplines, has been supported and encouraged. This journal has a certain influence and recognition in the academic community. The research direction of journals mainly focuses on the field of history, providing a platform for historians to showcase their research results.
