The Indian Journal of Rheumatology (IJR) is an official publication of the Indian Rheumatology Association (IRA), a peer-reviewed academic journal formerly known as the Journal of Indian Rheumatology Association. This journal is published quarterly and covers clinical, laboratory, and basic scientific research in the field of rheumatology, including original articles, briefs, reviews, and thematic reviews, as well as case reports with special educational value and relevance.

JR focuses on rheumatology issues in South Asia, including the Indian subcontinent, such as tropical rheumatology and the unique situations and needs in these regions. However, contributions on rheumatology related topics from anywhere in the world are also welcomed. This journal is indexed by databases such as Scopus, Embase, ESCI, and DOAJ, and is available on the Sage Journal website in an open access format, allowing a wider readership to read, use, and build upon published content for free.
