History&Memory explores how the past shapes the present and how the present affects perceptions of the past. This journal focuses on the formation of historical consciousness and collective memory, the role of historical memory in modern and pre modern societies, and the relationship between historical research and past images in different societies and cultures. The journal not only focuses on the official past image in public monuments and commemorative activities, but also explores the role of oral history and personal narratives, the influence of new media in shaping historical consciousness, and the re relevance of historical writing to emerging countries and social conflicts.
