Science and Technology Studies is a multidisciplinary academic platform focused on the materiality of science and technology in society and its relationship to knowledge, expertise, social organization, and controversy. It is concerned not only with the historical development of science and technology, but also with its production and practice in contemporary society, and how these practices have shaped and been shaped by social forces.

The journal encourages a multidisciplinary research approach to explore all aspects of scientific and technological research. This includes, but is not limited to, theoretical and empirical research in disciplines such as anthropology, sociology, history, philosophy, political science, educational science, and communication. Through this interdisciplinary perspective, the journal aims to provide a framework for a comprehensive understanding of the role of science and technology in society. Special attention is paid to science and technology research on its own knowledge production technologies, methods and interventions. This involves the study of scientific experimentation, technological design, innovation processes and how these activities are understood and applied in different social and cultural contexts. The journal encourages researchers to explore how scientific and technological knowledge is constructed, transmitted, and received, and how these processes are influenced by social structures, power relations, and cultural values.
